8/23/2023 0 Comments How to use spamsieveIn the meantime, our utmost thanks for making this the best spam filter on the Mac platform. If you could answer the folder question above and include a link to that tutorial so I and others may refresh ourselves, it would be appreciated. I realize you posted a very good setup tutorial for AirMail. I would like a folder for all my spam mail to show up in, just in case something is wrongly flagged as spam. None of that, as far as I can see, is being done in AirMail. SpamSieve works with a number of mail programs, including Mail ( ), Microsoft Entourage ( ), Qualcomm’s Eudora, Gyaz Square’s GyazMail ( ), Bare Bones Software’s Mailsmith ( ), Mozilla’s. So, the question is, where does all the Spam mail go? In Apple Mail you actually have to create a Spam Mail folder and a rule to send SpamSieve flagged spam there. I have the latest version of SpamSieve installed, I launch AirMail, and it seems that there are options (Train as good or spam) available to me when I right click on a email message. It seems as if I don’t have to go through the setup process I had with Apple Mail. Trying to figure out how to use SpamSieve with the AirMail application. I am finally attempting to replace Apple Mail with AirMail. Of course, not your fault – it was getting the AirMail team to allow coded support. To continue using it beyond the trial period, you'll have to pay $30 for a full license.Įditors' note: This is a review of the trial version of SpamSieve for Mac 2.9.16.I know we have come a long way with getting SpamSieve finally compatible with AirMail. You can try it for free for 30 days with all features active. It integrates with so many mail programs, and it does a good job of learning and adapting to your needs. SpamSieve works well, and it's a good option to consider, especially if you find a lot of spam messages sneaking into your Inbox. Just setting the app up is somewhat of a complicated process, even with the detailed instructions. And that's not the only investment of time you'll have to make in this program. My recommendation for users with multiple Macs is to keep one Mac setup with SpamSieve and the mail client running (I’m using my old iMac to do this) to act as a spam filtering server, then simply open the email client on other Macs when one needs to send/receive emails. ConsĬomplicated setup: Teaching the app what messages you want in your Inbox and which you don't does take some time and effort. Through this feedback, it will become better and better at identifying and sorting your incoming emails until you won't have to worry about losing reputable mail to your Spam box again. It works fine without input, but the more feedback you give it, by marking junk messages that wind up in your Inbox as spam and important messages that wind up in your Spam box as reputable, the more you'll get out of the program. But if you just sit back and expect it to do its job, you probably won't be too impressed. Increasing accuracy: Once you have this app installed, it will immediately begin to filter your messages. You can also use it with Web-based mail services like Gmail, Yahoo, and AOL, and it's compatible with iCloud as well. Integration options: This app can integrate with all kinds of mail programs, including Apple Mail, Airmail, Mailsmith, Outlook, and more. The more you use this program, the more effective it will be for you and the less likely you are to see unwanted messages or to miss those you do want. SpamSieve integrates with many different mail programs to provide a more complete service to keep spam messages out of your Inbox.
